Plant Safety
At the Lopez Foods Companies, safety is a core strategy
on a par with quality and production. As a result, safety is a condition
of employment. All safety programs have been developed to fit the work
and work processes to the worker. The safety programs are the responsibility
of everybody and managed in each department at every facility.
Lopez Foods, Inc. subscribes to the theory that associates
will not give 100% to a company's productivity and quality needs if
the company refuses to give a 100% commitment to their safety. As a
result, all our associates are involved in the safety processes at each
of our facilities. Our safety meetings included training that is required
on all safety programs. In addition, time is allowed for safety suggestions
to be discussed and a report given updating all associates on safety
suggestions that have been implemented.
Ultimately, our associates know that the company is
concerned about their well-being. From ergonomic programs to OSHA mandated
programs, Lopez Foods, Inc. is dedicated to its commitment to the safety
